Vehicle & Powertrain Coverage
10-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty
Covers the repairs or replacement of your vehicle’s powertrain components (like selected engine and transmission/transaxle components) that were originally manufactured or installed by Hyundai, but are defective in material or factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance. The Powertrain Limited Warranty only applies to the original owner only, effective with 2004 model year and newer model-year vehicles.
5-Year/60,000-Mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty
Similar to the Powertrain Limited Warranty, the New Vehicle Warranty covers the repairs or replacement of any component manufactured or originally installed by Hyundai that is defective in material or factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance. However, the New Vehicle Warranty extends to other components other than the powertrain, like clutch linings, radio and audio systems or air conditioner refrigerate. 7-Year/Unlimited Miles Anti-Perforation Warranty
Starting with the 2005 model year, the Anti-Perforation Warranty covers perforation corrosion of original Hyundai body sheet metal due to defects in material or factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance, but excludes surface corrosion.
5-Year/Unlimited Miles 24-Hour Roadside Assistance
Don’t get stuck on the side of the road with your new Hyundai. Effective from the date the vehicle is delivered to the first retail buyer, or otherwise put into service (in-service date), whichever is earlier.
Parts, Accessories and Emissions Coverage
12-Month/12,000-Mile Replacement Parts and Accessories Limited Warranty
This limited warranty covers the repair or replacement of any Hyundai genuine replacement parts or accessories supplied by Hyundai that are defective in material or factory workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.
8-Year/80,000-Mile Federal Emission Defect and Performance Warranty
Covers the repairs or replacement of the following original Hyundai major emissions control components, should they cause the vehicle to fail to conform to an applicable EPA-approved inspection/maintenance program:
- Catalytic converter
- Engine control module
- Onboard Emissions Diagnostic Device (OBD-II)
Electric and Hybrid Powertrain Coverage
2012-2019 Lifetime Hybrid/Electric Battery Warranty
America’s Best Warranty extends to every new Hyundai full electric, hybrid electric, plug-in hybrid electric and hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. Please see the Owner’s Handbook for full details on Hyundai’s hybrid, electric and fuel cell vehicle warranty coverage.
The Lifetime Hybrid/Electric Battery Warranty ensures that if the lithium-ion polymer battery fails, Hyundai will replace the battery and cover recycling costs for the old battery free of charge to the original owner. The Lifetime Hybrid/Electric Battery Warranty excludes coverage for vehicles placed in commercial use (e.g., taxi, route delivery, rental, etc.). Warranty is non-transferable and not valid on exported vehicles.
